About Us
Most people think of Toastmasters as a way to improve speaking in front of groups. While that is an important benefit, most Toastmasters do not aspire to be a platform speaker.
Toastmasters is much more than that. In the words of our founder, Ralph Smedley, "Ours is the only organization I know dedicated to the individual, we work together to bring out the best in each of us and then we apply these skills to help others."
When evaluating a club look for one that has a personality that fits you and your needs, be that professional, familial, or social.
Membership in Central Florida Facilitators is open to all adults, and our members come from all walks of life. Guests are always welcome to visit, and they may visit as many times as they like without obligation. If you have any questions, ask our Vice President Membership!
New Members
Welcome! We are happy you have chosen Central Florida Facilitators, and we are eager to make your journey as easy and as enjoyable as we can.
Once we have submitted your application and paid your dues, you will receive an email from Toastmasters International inviting you to log in to toastmasters.org, create your account, and select your first path in the Pathways curriculum. There you will be provided your projects and objectives including your first speech, the Icebreaker.
We will also provide you a mentor to help you learn about Toastmasters and Central Florida Facilitators as well as guide you based on your own personal goals and experiences. To that end, here are additional useful resources you can peruse at your own pace:
